REPORT CARD VS. FALCONS

PASSING OFFENSE: B -- QB Marc Bulger played one of his better games of the season, completing 19 of 32 passes for 230 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. His passer rating was 91.9. Bulger was able to connect with WR Torry Holt for 90 yards on six catches, and rookie Donnie Avery added five catches for 40 yards and a 16-yard touchdown.

RUSHING OFFENSE: A -- The Rams rushed for 202 yards, led by RB Steven Jackson's 161 on 30 carries. He also scored two rushing touchdown. Despite missing four games and most of a fifth, Jackson's big day put him over 1,000 yards for the season.

PASS DEFENSE: B-plus -- Falcons QB Matt Ryan completed less than 50 percent of his passes (10 for 21) for just 160 yards and was intercepted twice, by Jason Craft and Jonathan Wade. His passer rating was 49.8.

RUSH DEFENSE: F -- The run defense collapsed in the second half. After having 71 yards on 16 attempts in the first half, the Falcons gashed the Rams for 192 yards on 15 attempts in the final two quarters. RB Michael Turner had 149 yards on 12 carries in the second half, including a 70-yard run. Jerious Norwood added 56 yards on three attempts, including a 45-yard touchdown run that won the game with 3:41 remaining. For the game, the Falcons totaled 263 rushing yards.

SPECIAL TEAMS: D -- P Donnie Jones did well and PK Josh Brown made both of his field-goal attempts. But this is a low grade because of a breakdown at the end of the first half. The Rams scored a touchdown with 32 seconds remaining to take a 14-10 lead. However, Norwood returned the ensuing kickoff 92 yards to the Rams' 8-yard line. On the second play from scrimmage, Norwood went eight yards for a touchdown.

COACHING: B-plus -- Coach Jim Haslett ended the season with another loss, but his team took a playoff team to the wire, and played hard for four quarters. Prior to the game, it was learned the team's players signed a petition asking ownership to rehire Haslett as head coach.
