Yes, we’ll get the disclaimer out of the way … Saturday night’s game between the Titans and Rams was the first pre-season game of the season, and many of the guys on the field, especially in the second half, won’t be playing in the NFL this season.
Scott Linehan doesn’t care about that:
“It doesn’t matter who’s in there or in what part of the game,” Linehan said. “It’s going to be tough for us to win if we give up that many yards rushing to anybody.”Just how many is “that many?” Uh, it’s a lot. Only one time in franchise history have the Rams given up more yards on the ground than the 340 rolled up by the Titans Saturday night. The ugliness doesn’t just stop at the number. The Rams allowed six different Titans to rip off at least one run of ten or more yards. This quote pretty much says it all:
All told, the Titans had 10 runs of 10 yards or more, and those carries accounted for 255 yards. Or 14 more yards than the entire Rams offense produced.Continue Reading
